Jenn & Bueno: Terminator Salivation

The Jenn & Bueno 2009 summer movie spoofs continue with Terminator: Salvation. Don't worry--Jenn is OK. It's all special effects and makeup!

Enjoy!

Jenn & Bueno: New Umbrella

This spring has been predictably full of rain, often in the form of storms both mild and severe. So I decided there needed to be a rain-inspired Jenn & Bueno piece. Instead of an entirely new idea, I decided to remake an old illustration from 2004 (which appears to have been the first ever illustration pairing these two together). Also, Jenn's pose and predicament in the original was inspired by a picture of a poor girl in in a newspaper photo at the time, therefore I guess it was inspired by proxy in the new one as well.

Enjoy--even though this one's all wet!

Jenn & Bueno: Arf Trek

Time for another Jenn & Bueno summer movie spoof: Star Trek! This one features possibly the corniest title of any J&B spoof ever, which is saying a lot.

As far as the actual Star Trek goes, I've never watched an episode or a movie before, but, in short, I found the new incarnation to be a really enjoyable summer popcorn flick!

Enjoy!

Jenn & Bueno: Wolvereno

Last year's Jenn & Bueno summer movie spoofs seemed to be fairly well recieved, so I thought I'd attempt to do a few for this summer. And since Wolverine is the first big summer movie, it's the first spoof (or spoof-like thing). And it's not just your usual illustration, but a two-page comic! How do ya like them apples?! Enjoy!

(Obviously I've posted this version with both pages as a single file...if anyone has a strong preference for individual pages I could put those up instead.)

My two cents on the Wolverine movie: Better than X3 (which was no real feat), not nearly as good as the first two. It had its moments, and it at least entertained me. Overall it's forgettable, though, and certainly didn't live up to its potential. Perhaps it's due to the fact that I had rather low expectations for this one that I don't find it as horrible as some people seem to think...but it's not especially great, either. I guess that means, "Okay" would be the most succinct review I could give it.
