WALL-E

I saw Pixar's Wall-E this weekend. As usual and expected, it blew me away. Truly phenomenal movie. Beautiful visuals, charming characters, fun story, the whole lot. Go see it. I liked the movie so much that, in spite of the fact that I can't draw mechanical, robotic things to save my life (and don't really enjoy drawing them in the first place), I had to do a quick WALL-E sketch anyway. Enjoy (if possible)! Jenn & Bueno will be doing another of their traditional Holiday-themed artings for Fourth of July later this week.

Jenn & Bueno: Hulked Out!

Lookit! You get two posts from me this week instead of the usual one! I ended up doing this little Jenn & Bueno number after seeing The Incredible Hulk last weekend. The trailers for that movie had pretty well turned me off, but I went on positive word of mouth, and I'm glad I did, as I rather liked it after all! For this particular art I kind of toyed with the idea of Heydaze as a single panel strip. Anyway, enjoy the art lest Bueno SMASH!

Roger and Pals

I recently watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit again and was inspired to do some Roger Rabbit fan art afterwards. It's hard to believe that movie was released 20 years ago this very weekend. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I'm old! But it remains a great movie. Enjoy the art...p-p-p-please!

Teen Drew

A recent thread on the Drawing Board centered around drawing yourself as a teenager. I started this one for that thread and actually let it sit a while before finishing it up. But it's finally done, so travel with me now--if you dare--all the way back to the mid-nineties, for a look at...TEENAGE ANDREW!

(And Muppet fans don't forget to scroll down to see the other new Blog-O! post for today.)

A-NI-MAL! A-NI-MAL! A-NI-MAL!

It's time for another quick non-art post...another Muppet-themed, non-art post! Long-time Studio Blog-O viewers have seen the posts about my Kermit the Frog replica "photo puppet" as well as the Gonzo replica "photo puppet".

Now a third Muppet has joined my growing, geeky stable: Animal! So without further ado, here are some of the first pictures I took of my new geeky acquisition.
(You will also notice I've given Gonzo a temporary wardrobe change.) Enjoy!

Animal is impressed by my T-shirt.

Better the cushion than Kermit!

Ariel and Pals

Here, for no reason in particular, is the Little Mermaid herself, Ariel...and her pals. (Friend and Blog-O viewer, Dick, may wonder if this was a result of the Disney Princess party I attended this weekend in honor of his daughter's birthday, but this one has actually been in the can for a few weeks now.) Remember, folks, she just wants to be part of your world. Enjoy!

Go, Gadget, Go!

There was a "Long Arm of the Law" thread on the Drawing Board recently, featuring, obviously, characters who work in law enforcement. Inspector Gadget was my choice. I used to adore that cartoon as a kid. It surprised me the ridiculous amount of fun I had making this piece...it was a real nostalgia trip!
