Gogo and Honey

Saw Big Hero 6this weekend and really enjoyed it. It's not surprising that I had to draw these two cuties after.

Disney Princess Fight Club

So, the Disney Princess Fight Club is one of my more ridiculous drawings, but hopefully a fun one.  The royals seem to be enjoying themselves, at least.

The scene was inspired by this picture that I stumbled upon online quite some time ago when looking for general vintage pin-up refs:

Things snowballed from there.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Jenn & Bueno: Wonderland Halloween!

First, Jenn and Bueno sporting some "Alice in Wonderland" themed costumes for Halloween! (Specifically inspired by the animated Disney version.)...

...and then they (both, for some reason) end up in "sexy" versions of their costumes.  Enjoy!

Turanga Leela

I decided to do a Bugs Bunny as a companion piece to the Elmer Fudd I recently did for Sketch Dailies.

Bueno Character Sketches

Lately I’ve been toying with the idea of slightly changing my recurring dog character, Bueno’s, design.

I may or may not make it official, but here’s a selection of some of the doodles I’ve been making while considering the idea.

Halloween Jenn

It's October 1st, "witch" is not too early for a Halloween-themed pin-up of Jennifer! Yay!

Hermione Granger

It’s slightly late, but there was no way I wasn’t going to draw my favorite witch for the Sketch Dailies Hermione Granger theme!

And, since I so rarely share them anymore, here is a glimpse
of the pencil prelims!

Poison Ivy done for Sketch Dailies. Seen here in one of her less dangerous moments as she enjoys her what is probably her favorite song.

Turns out expectorating isn’t the only thing he’s especially good at!
(Gaston for a Sketch Dailies theme. Because I’m a MATURE ADULT!)

Jenn Reading and Relaxing

A pin-up of Jennifer lounging around and enjoying a book.  And there's a lot of green for reasons I can't even explain.  Pose inspired by photo reference.

I Already Have a Companion

I combined two recent Sketch Dailies topics in order to catch up: Doctor Who and Hit Girl. Enjoy!

They Are What They Are

Inspired by a tweet from “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn, in which he joked about characters he’d like to see join the team in the next movie. One of those characters was Popeye…and so I drew this. Because how could I not?

Batman Turns 75!

In celebration of Batman’s 75th Anniversary, “Batman Day”, and the Sketch Dailies topic of “The Dark Knight”. Enjoy!

Jenn & Bueno: Hansel & Gretel

I used Jenn & Bueno to flesh out the recent Sketch Dailies subject of "Hansel". Enjoy!

Bonus "Easter egg" that no one else but me would ever notice: The witch is the same witch I drew in this random Halloween doodle from a couple years ago. I guess maybe all of my drawings do exist in the same universe!

This All You Got?

She-Hulk. Just Because.
Pose inspired by photo reference.

Batgirl's New Duds

I FINALLY had a chance to do a Batgirl for last week’s Sketch Dailies theme. Also because I simply wanted to join the fun of drawing Babs Tarr and Cameron Stewart’s awesome new design.

ATC Card Commissions

Six recent ATC card commissions.

First Set: The Hitchhiking Ghosts from the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney theme parks. Phineas (the traveler), Ezra (the skeleton) and Gus (the prisoner).

Second Set: The Jack Sparrow on the left was a recent one, while the Jareth (middle) and Derek Flint (right) were actually commissioned as surprise Christmas gifts last year, and I forgot to ever post them after the fact.

Each card is 2.5 x 3.5", done with inks, markers and colored pencils.

Saloon Girl Tink

Tinker Bell as an old west saloon girl, because why not?
This is another piece I've recently redrawn to replace an older, inferior version. Enjoy!

An alternate, sepia-toned version because...well, it's an old west picture, dangit!

Horse Mask

For the "Horse Mask" Sketch Dailies theme. I asked myself, "What's better than a horse mask? A Horse THE Mask, of course!" Enjoy.

Bedtime with Harley

This is actually a redraw of a piece I did a few years ago because I hoped to improve it. The Joker's main squeeze, Harley Quinn, having some bedtime fun as only she could. Pose inspired by photo reference. Enjoy!

Not Every Pipe is a Portal!

Another piece done for the Sketch Dailies "Mario" theme. Enjoy!

Friday, June 06, 2014

Hey! A Mushroom!

Mario for a recent Sketch Dailies theme.  This was my first time experimenting with Copic markers, and I'm afraid that shows. But it was a fun practice project, at least! Enjoy.

Tuesday, May 27, 2014

Come at Me, Bub!

A little Wolverine/Logan for a recent Sketch Dailies theme. And because the new movie sort of put me in the mood for one anyway.  Enjoy!

"You're Welcome!"

For the Sketch Dailies "Merlin" theme, I couldn't resist honoring one of my favorite "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" episodes (#1009), "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders". You're welcome!

For today's Sketch Dailies "Serpent" theme, I went with The Most Evil Foe of GI Joe, Serpentor! Enjoy.

Tight Ship and Buzzkill

Some more "Community" fan art!, this time taken from the recent "GI Jeff" episode.
