I did this one, obviously, amidst all the hype about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I saw the movie today, and thought it was really pretty enjoyable. Pure mindless escapism, but what more does one expect? It is an "Indy" film, not an "Indie" film, after all! Enjoy the J&B parody!

Jenn & Bueno: Iron Mutt *PLUS* Reepicheep!
First off in this summer-movie-centric post, we have another Jennifer & Bueno piece, this time belatedly inspired by the Iron Man movie (which I personally really enjoyed). 'Nuff said about that one!
Next we have a sketch of one of my favorite characters from the Chronicles of Narnia books, Reepicheep. My sketch comes from my mental picture of him based on the books' description more than his new appearance in the Prince Caspian movie (though the movie, which I also enjoyed, thankfully depicted him very faithfully to the book, so I guess it works either way). Anyway, enjoy!

Jenn & Bueno: Paper Puppets
I was recently inspired when Goobeetsa showcased some Alice in Wonderland paper puppets he had made. The end result were these Jennifer & Bueno paper puppets! Jenn stands about 8 1/2" tall, while Bueno is about 5 1/2". The background was printed from an old Jenn & Bueno illustration, and then I scanned them together in front of it. Enjoy!

One thing I learned from this experience is that when you go to purchase brads (which the puppets joints are held with), you're better off if you already know where they're located. I couldn't find them in my local Hobby Lobby, so I had to ask an employee. Turns out no one knew what a "brad" was...and that's when I learned it's very difficult to explain a brad to someone who doesn't know what one is! Turns out the best bet is to tell them it's like the clasp on a manila envelope, but without the envelope attached to it...then they can take you straight to the brads! :)

Jenn & Bueno: That's Toe Touching...
Bueno is apparently not much help when Jenn wants to exercise. Jenn's pose in this one was inspired by a picture in a newspaper advertisement for exercise equipment.
Enjoy!

Vulture Luggage
I surely can't be the first person to come up with this horrible pun, but once it popped into my head I pretty much had to do this. Enjoy!
