This one was inspired by one of the latest shorts to be riffed by the masters at RiffTrax (the guys from Mystery Science Theater 3000, if you're not familiar), "Setting Up A Room". A 1967 informational reel featuring two personality-free women, working--with apparently little script--to organize a kindergarten classroom. For 27 minutes! Truly one of the most bizarre things the guys have ever done, and for that, I loved it--enough to be compelled to draw fan art!

Here's the link to the RiffTrax page where you can purchase "Setting Up A Room". If you've never done RiffTrax before (and why haven't you?!), you might want to start with another one, as this one is so off the wall as to not be for everyone.

It really captures the feel of the short film!
Am I the only one who thought the younger teacher was hot, in a vague kind of way?
It's just me, isn't it.
Now, it wasn't just you... *-_-*
Thanks for the comments--and Michigan, no, it definitely wasn't just you!
Oh thank god. I was worried I was the only one that thought that, Michigan.
haha
I hadn't heard about this one
it seems like a good companion
piece to "Young Man's Fancy"
God, that was strange. The younger teacher was indeed attractive - although she wears this awful smock that makes her look huge. I think you're being very kind to the older teacher, who looked like a nasty piece of work.
The whole thing was mesmeric, like that film. You know, the one with the cooking. (looks it up) "Jeanne Dielman, 23 Quai du Commerce" (1975), that one. Three hours long; cooking, angst.
Oh my gosh, that's PERFECT XD
Here's a behind-the-scenes look at the writing of the riffs for this - enjoy!
