They Might Be Giants!

This is my questionable attempt at a caricature of the two Johns, Flansburgh and Linnell, of my favorite band, They Might Be Giants. Being that I'm not great at caricatures, I tried to add a little something extra to the piece to make it unique....therefore all the clutter in the background are things representing, either literally or figuratively, lyrics from various ones of their songs. I believe I counted at least 20 references in there somewhere. And as is common for me, I've included the original pencils just for fun. Enjoy the silliness!

Thanks as always for the comments, guys.

Brian: Hey, no prosthetic foreheads, but at least I did give them a rock to wind a string around. I hope your wife enjoys the picture. (And that's cool that she likes TMBG...they need to make more TMBG-loving females. Ones that would come across my path, I mean).
And the pencils don't look so bad because your seeing the ones I finally settled on, not one of the multiple pages of nearly solid blue I chunked to the floor in the process! :)

Dick!: Glad you're enjoying Vegas. Congrats on that big $1.50 I hear you came into. Don't spend it all in one place. Glad you like the 2 Johns.

Drew, I really like this piece. I like all the stuff I saw tonight at Studio Bueno. I don't know where I'm supposed to comment about the things that aren't posted on the Blog-O...

Maybe I was in an exceptionally good mood, but I laughed a lot at the Tony the Tiger strip! You seem to be very in touch with your humor these days. The "cooking with Nightcrawler" was quite possibly the most pointless sketch I've encountered ... ever ... but I laughed fool-heartily at it! It's that zaniness that makes it great...
